fggtlibrarian and I bought this carpet on a whim last Saturday. We like it. It’s sort of like 1970’s retro shag. It’s also comfortable as hell. However, it sort of looks like grass. And behindthisbeard hates it.
What do you think? Should we keep it or return it? I’m leaning towards keeping!

Hmm, they don’t seem to go together. They kind of clash. :( Also the rug looks like it would imprint the movements of everyone and everything that sets foot on it which, I guess, is great if your going for crime-scene chic… yeah I’d return it.

I… I’m sorry, but I’d return it. It just evokes me too many bad 90’s clips (not bad-enough-to-be-good) On the other hand, it’s the perfect carpet on which throw parties on, you won’t mind if someone’s pukes all over it. It might get better.

if its comfy and you like it keep. personally i would dye it maroon or a another deep color that will add some color yet keep it warm and cozy.

i think it only looks like grass because it is the only other thing in the room. if you had variations of green hues on the sofa… or yellow throws or a coffee table… it could look pulled together.

it seems pretty big for the room. the rug should sit nicely within the “L” created by the sofa/chaise and not go underneath the sofa.
